The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MOPIC) acknowledges UNDP's support in the preparation for Riyadh’s donor conference
In an official ceremony, the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Mohammad Al-Saadi, presented today appreciation certificates to UNDP Resident Representative – UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, UNDP Senior Country Director Mr. Gustavo Gonzalez, UNDP Head of Advisory Unit Mr. Abdo Seif and UNDP Project Manger in MoPIC Ms. Hiba Ahmed.
MoPIC has acknowledged UNDP’s management and staff contribution in the preparations for the Donor Conference Meeting for Yemen Meeting that was held in Riyadh on 4-5 September, 2012 and Friends of Yemen Meeting that was held in New York on 27 September 2012.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Al-Saadi praised the cooperation between UNDP and the Government of Yemen. He confirmed his appreciation to UNDP’s contributions during the transitional period.
UNDP Resident Representative Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed assured UNDP’s willingness to continue supporting the government of Yemen to overcome the challenges of the transitional period.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister for Macroeconomic Projections, Research and Studies, Dr. Mohammad Al Hawi, and Chief of Technical Bureau Dr. Ali Al Jabal.
