    UNDP together with UN WOMEN and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has started training Yemeni civil society organizations to independently document human rights violations and provide psychosocial support to victims of the ongoing conflict.

  • UNDP signs agreement with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for emergency livelihoods and rights protection for Yemeni people Aug 27, 2015

    The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is pleased to announce the signing of a Cost-Sharing Agreement with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to improve food security in crisis-affected communities in Yemen and to support the protection of human rights in the country. The agreement was signed in Riyadh on 27 August 2015 and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center will contribute $1,743,200 for three months duration. This is part of the broader contribution from Saudi Arabia to the UN Flash Appeal.

  • Cleaning Campaign Launched in Aden Jul 15, 2015

    In partnership with START Foundation, UNDP conducted a cleaning campaign in Enma, a neighbourhood of Aden, during the week prior to Eid. The initiative aimed at supporting 350 local residents and internally displaced persons with emergency cash-for-work while improving the solid waste situation of their communities.
